Background

Bukunmi Oluwasina hails from Ekiti State (Oke Imesi) to be precise, and she is the third born to a family of seven.[2] Bukunmi is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University where she studied theatre arts.[3]

Filmography 

She has featured in several movies and produced several, included is her first self produced movie Ayomi, which was shot in 2014 in Lagos and released September 2015, which is majorly the film that brought her to limelight as it was nominated for the AMVCA award.[4]

Some of the movies she has featured in include Modebi Olami, Eniitan, Test, Excursion and many more. She has written several movie's scripts which includes; Ayomi.[5] Other Films she has featured in or produced include: Hey(2017), You are me(2019), Surface(2019), Lost(2019) and others.

She also creates soundtracks for movies,[6] her popular films like Hey, You are me and others all had their soundtracks created by her.[citation needed]

Achievement

Bukunmi Oluwasina partnered with Pepsi, AVF and Viva for the premiere of Ayomi, worthy of notice is the fact that Ayomi became so popular abroad that fans had to request for the soundtrack which was composed by her.[7]

Ayomi by Bukunmi Oluwasina was also nominated for the 2016 AMVCA award for Best Indigenous Language Movie.

SOKOTO STATE GOVERNMENT ENROLL 75,000 CHILDREN IN SCHOOL.

Sokoto state  government under the Better Education Service Delivery Agency (BESDA) programme has enrolled  over seventy-five thousand children into basic schools in the state last year. Similarly, this year, the state government, under the programme, targets over 90,000 children for enrollment. Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal stated this Wednesday at the official flag-off of BESDA enrolment drive for the year 2020/21. According to Gov. Tambuwal under the programme, over 1,513 integrated Quranic Schools have been created just as teachers have been recruited and provided with books as well as instructional materials. The governor added that since inception of the present administration, education has been given utmost priority through the allocation of higher percentage in budgetary allocation. According to him various programmes have been introduced aimed at improving educational development in the state and assured that, his administration will continue to invest in education....

Over 10,000 security personnel deployed for Kano LG poll

No fewer than 10,000 security personnel have been deployed for the local government council election in Kano scheduled for Saturday Among them are 7,251 police officers, Kano State Police Commissioner, Habu Sani, disclosed on Thursday. Sani, in a statement by spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna, said the security personnel will be in all the 8,084 polling stations of the 747 wards of the 44 councils of the state during the election. "Adequate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure peaceful conduct of the election," he said. The police chief restricted the movement of vehicles, tricycles and motorbikes from 12:pm on Friday until 6:pm Saturday.
